Rain: 1
Yesterday afternoon I sat on our bench seat with my legs crossed up underneath me, and cut my toenails!!!
If you dont understand what a big deal that is – I’m very very glad for you.
Breakfast out this morning at a friends cafe.
The standard fare of bacon and eggs.
Not too bad, with the exception of the bacon being very greasy and requiring a towel-off before consumption.
A coffee shake and minibites for a late lunch.
Got some general housework done when we got home, and pulled all the filters out of the airconditioner and cleaned all the muck off them.
We got a little more done on the outside bathroom, but not much really.
It’s serviceable for the time being at least…
A slow lazy afternoon with the rain having come back in.
Tomorrow we head to the city, and we’re going to see if we can get me a nightie or two for in hospital and when I get home.
I was just rereading my pre-op fasting sheet as I remembered that there has been stuff on it that seemed odd to me at the time, but I’d only perused it quickly.
On going back and looking, I’ve noticed that the recommended food and fluids are – in my opinion – designed to be able to carry your body over for a few days of minimal input.
Carbohydrates and sport drink type fluids.
Interesting…
Oh, that reminds me.
We bought an Accu-Chek blood glucose meter this morning so that I will be able to keep an eye on my own levels.
This diabetic business is not going to get its nasty little claws into me if I can possibly help it!
